Game Day Rules & Procedures

Before the Match

Weather & Field Conditions

*In the case of inclement weather, rather it is underway, in the forecast, or recently passed, check the Field Conditions web page prior to heading to the fields.

Field Conditions


Match Cards

*All Under 9 through Under 19 teams are required to bring a prepared match card to the game.
*You are required to present copy of your match card to the referee before the start of the game.
*The referee will keep the report for the duration of the match.


Coaching Badges

*All adults in the coaching area must have a valid coaching badge for the team they are coaching displayed on their person.
*If you do not have a valid coaching badge please contact the CFBSA office.


Player Cards

*For Under 13 through Under 19 games each player must have a USYS player cards for the team they are playing on.
*If a player does not have a valid player card for the team then he or she may not participate in the match.

*The officials shall return the player cards to the coach or manager before the match begins.
*If you do not have cards for all of your players contact the CFBSA office.

During the Match

*Spectators from both teams are to be positioned on one side of the pitch and players and the coaches from both teams are to be positioned on the opposite side.
*All adults that do not have a valid coaching badge must be in the spectators area.
*Coaches must adhere to the Code of Ethics for Coaches.
*Parents must adhere to the Parents Code of Conduct.

After the Match

Match Cards

*The officials shall fill out the score and any disciplinary actions taken during the game and return them to the coaches.


Report the Score

*The home team is responsible for reporting the score. You can report the score online by entering the PIN on your Match Cards. Instructions can be found on the "Reporting Scores" link. If you are unable to enter your score, please contact the office.
